She lives!
And thankfully so do all the ferrets! It's been a very busy month, what with house hunting and caring for ferrets. The ferrets are hanging in there, though not without the usual health issues. Sophie looks worse, and her hair loss is more obvious. Her butt is pretty bald, and she has a strip up her back and two patches on the sides of her neck. Her big pink belly is almost completely bald as well. She's still eating like a pig though, so that's good. She sleeps most of the time, but does play occasionally. She's starting to love the really hard scritches on her neck like Mojo used to. I think it's because her skin is so itchy from the adrenal disease. Her insulinoma seems to be holding steady, though we did have to up her pred about 2 months ago. That's to be expected though, and she hasn't had any episodes since then.
I think Cheeba may be adrenal. He has a little hair thinning on his belly, and he's been biting at his penis like Mojo used to. He also has some thinning hair on his knuckles. Took him to see Dr. Edling about a month ago, and she recommended that we wait a month to see how he looks. He doesn't look any worse, but there's no hair regrowth either, so I think we might put him on Lupron. Good news with him is that his insulinoma doesn't seem to have gotten worse, and I think we've finally cleared up his ulcers...for now anyway.
Jebabba is still having stomach issues, and when he eats hard food, he stops eating the baby food. I think I'm going to try grinding up the food and putting some in the baby food to see if he can deal with that. He seems to have put on a little bit of weight, but not enough. When he was at the vet a month ago, he was 1.6 lbs, which is not good! He used to have such a nice fat little belly. I hope he plumps back up again this winter. He still has lots of energy, his fur is really soft and plush, and his eyes are bright, so whatever is going on, it's not too bad yet.
Bonk is doing pretty well, though he seems to be calming down. I don't know if it's just growing older or if it's the precursor to some medical issue. I hope it's the former!

I hope your babies get better.
I have two ferrets. Indra had some type of blockage when I purchased him from my local shelter but after about a few weeks it passed through his system.
