Mojo Needs Your Prayers

Well, I've been quite busy with work at home and ferret time, hence the non posting. Now Mojo isn't well, and I'm so worried.

I don't know how well the Lupron is controlling his adrenal disease anymore, and I think he's blocking again - I watched him run around from litter box to litter box last night trying to pee with no results. I managed to get him an appointment with our vet up here this morning, and he peed just a little in her office, which was encouraging. At least he's not completely blocked yet!

She tested the urine and found nothing that would indicate any problems with it - all levels normal, no UTI. Therefore the problem must be something pressing on the urethra, which leads me to believe that he might need the cysts in his prostate drained again.

I have another appointment on Thursday with my Horsham vet. Mojo will get an ultrasound, possibly an echo to determine the severity of his heart murmur. I think if he's getting worse and the Lupron isn't helping, I might speak to her about the possibility of doing surgery. I know it's dangerous with the murmur, but I would rather that he die on the table than suffer on without anyone doing anything for him.

It was so upsetting last night, watching him go from corner to corner trying to pee and not being able to. I could tell it was bothering him, but there was nothing I could do. My poor little Mojo.

Get better soon Moo-man. Mommy loves you.

Ferret Tip of the Day is simple - love them while they're there. Play with them as much as possible, at least 2 hours a day. You never know when your little ones will be gone.
